The Norman Transcript
Formerly known as Service Zone and ClientLogic, Sitel has been operating in Norman for 10 years as the company itself has grown to be one of the largest call center companies in the world.
Thirteen of the original employees at the center still work there, including Site Director Tonya Gates.
The company Service Zone was formed in 1999 to provide business process outsourcing services to large companies. The Norman location, the first site Service Zone opened, employs nearly 400 inbound customer service agents who provide customer service for the credit card and home lending divisions of a major bank.
In 2003 ClientLogic acquired Service Zone. Then in 2007 ClientLogic acquired Sitel, choosing to use the Sitel name after the acquisition. Sitel now has 116 locations in 26 countries around the world.
Almost every member of the management team and support staff was promoted from within.
