When three partners created Innovative Equine Technologies, they didnt horse around on office location.
Dynah Korhummel of Norman said their company, which prototypes and builds veterinary medical devices, was happy to move into the Norman Economic Development Coalitions latest business accelerator center at 3209 Flood Ave.
The facility is called the "emerging Technology entrepreneurial center 2, or eTec squared.
"Being involved in eTec has been very helpful with networking and utilizing their tools, Korhummel said.
Maureen Hammond, the coalitions operations director and executive assistant, said [eTec 2 offers highbay space, unlike the original eTec on Asp Avenue.]
The additional area, combined with eTecs technology-based focus, proves helpful for businesses like Innovative Equine Technologies and TGV Rockets Inc.
Hammond said the newer eTec opened in January and became certified by the state Department of Commerce in March. The two facilities currently house 16 newer companies.
Agi Lurtz of OnlineMedsource.org said eTec provides every office need an emerging business could have from Internet to janitorial services except telephone service.
The business moved to Flood Avenue after two years on Asp Avenue, and she said the new locations proximity to Interstate 35 helps.
"I love the facility, and I love the access to I-35 because Im on the road every single day, Lurtz said.
