Norman elementary school achieves perfect score
A group of dedicated volunteer tutors and an
increased emphasis on school attendance showed in Cleveland Elementary
Schools test scores this year, said Principal Ty
Bell. The school scored a perfect 1500 on
standardized testing for the first time and is only the second
school in the Norman School
District to reach that mark. McKinley Elementary School
scored a 1500 in 2007.

WDT and NanoWeather Awarded Major Grant for High Performance Wind Assessment and Forecasting System
Weather Decision Technologies, Inc. (WDT), a global leader in
state-of-the-science weather applications, and NanoWeather, a
leading microscale forecasting company, announced on Monday, Dec.
15th, that they are part of a consortium of academic, public, and
private enterprises that has been awarded a major two-year grant by
the Policy Board of the State of Oklahomas EDGE
initiative. WDT is a former tenant in NEDC's technology based
incubator, eTec.

OU's CCEW collaborates with K20 Center
Every semester, student interns with the Center for the Creation
of Economic Wealth (CCEW) work with local inventors to get new
technologies off the ground at the University of Oklahoma. Interns
worked with the K20 Center, a university-wide research and
development center within the College of Education that promotes
innovative learning through school-university-community
collaboration.
CCEW is a tenant in NEDC's technology based incubator, eTec.
