Weather Decision Technologies, a company that began as a spin-off from the University of Oklahoma School of Meteorology, develops and sells a weather program to companies that predicts when and where lightning will strike during violent storms. The company is out to convince the public and the business world that its customized weather forecasts, much more precise than the less specific nightly TV weather, will make a considerable difference in their lives.
